Why you can’t relax (and it’s not your fault)

Not being able to relax is often seen as a personal failure, as if the body were doing something wrong. But what we call “tension” is often the result of a nervous system that has learned to stay alert. It is not a mistake, but an adaptation.

Trying to force relaxation usually creates more resistance. Instead, the work begins by recognizing what is already there. By allowing the body to be as it is, without pressure to change. From that place, regulation becomes possible not through effort, but through relationship.

You don’t have to navigate this on your own.
